Unheard of

I was a fat boy in the backseat of my dad’s car. He was a reputable man, a professor I believe. It was nighttime and the cinematography today felt quite realistic unlike my other dreams. We were approaching a help center for the poor because of the string of unfortunate events caused by covid. My dad told me to go down there and pretend to be a poor sick kid to get free money. He made it seem like a challenge for me, a guise for his petty greed maybe. Anyway, I hopped down and he left saying he’ll come back. I went in and saw a lady on the front desk. I sat on the seat in front of her and told her I was poor and in need of money. I even fake cried. She took out a small envelope and revealed a stack of bills. A small smile creeped into my mouth as she handed me 1k. I was rather proud thinking my acting skills was this good. I was arranging my things, turns out I brought down a bunch of bags. Rosa came in. I was surprised and immediately said hi. She ignored me so I just went out of the center. As I approached the exit, I bumped into Tita Ditas. She looked so much older. Her hair was gray rather than her jet black hair. I said hi but she ignored me too. Feeling uncomfortable I waited outside just to find out my bags were missing. I looked around and saw Rosa outside with it. I went to her but she didn’t say a word. I just took my bags and left. I saw a car that looked like my dad’s and I ran to it only to find out it wasn’t him. So I thought of hijacking the car to release my boredom. I got in and fumbled with some wires and got it starting. I drove away thinking it’d be just for a short while. I had fun and went back only to find out my dad was back and whoever owned this car was looking for it. I was scared and my grandfather gave me a firm lecture. He said it was “unheard of.”
