Renovation

I was in a very big church that had been renovated into an upscale living space. Very fancy. It was in a foreign land. Australia maybe. The entrepreneur that renovated it was showing it to me. He was a small middle aged man. He didn’t seem all that sure of himself. I gave him some sort of advice and thought of my friend Danny who converts churches. He mentioned Meriah who was there somewhere (Meriah is a big woman with black hair always dressed in black). He asked me what her last name was and I wracked my brain for it he kept talking and it came to me. I blurted it out “Weis!” at that moment I knew I was dreaming and was impressed I pulled the name out of my waking life and that I would have had a tough time recalling it if I were awake.

AI Generated Interpretation

This dream about a grand church transformed into an upscale living space can symbolize a significant internal transformation or reimagining of something traditionally sacred or foundational in your life. Churches often represent spirituality, community, or deeply held values, so the renovation speaks to a process of change—taking something old or established and giving it new meaning or purpose. The foreign setting, like Australia, might suggest that these changes are happening in unfamiliar or new contexts, emphasizing exploration or adaptation. The entrepreneur showing you the space, described as a small, somewhat uncertain man, could represent a part of yourself or someone in your life who is initiating change but lacks full confidence. Your interaction with him and the advice you offer hints at your role as a guide or source of insight during times of transformation. Thinking of your friend Danny, who converts churches, further highlights themes of repurposing and reinterpretation—the idea that structures or beliefs can be adapted to new uses aligned with current needs or perspectives. Meriah, described as a large woman dressed in black, might symbolize a strong, grounding presence or perhaps a shadow aspect—black often connects to the unknown or the subconscious. Your effort to recall her last name, "Weis," and the conscious realization that you are dreaming indicate a moment of clarity or self-awareness within the dream state. This meta-awareness suggests you are exploring or reconciling different layers of your consciousness—bridging what’s remembered and what’s newly discovered. Overall, the dream gently invites reflection on how you navigate change, rediscover familiar things in new ways, and balance uncertainty with insight in your personal growth journey.
