Gushing Toilet

I'm in bed at the home I grew up in. I get out of bed to visit the toilet. When I get there I see that the toilet is gushing water onto the floor. I wake my brother but he seems unfazed telling me it's being fixed sometime soon. I had back to bed and sleep.
