The Safe Hole

...(this occurred after another dream) I headed over to Mom's and at Junior's barns, there seems to be a well of some kind, standing on its end, and I wanted to throw some stuff down into it. There was some Spring Equinox/Easter items and I tossed them down so that we could save them for later. There were other items and it was like I was safeguarding them if I put them in this hole. I didn't want to hit anybody who might be passing around under the hole. Spacial, it was irrational. The dream moved on to me being at some kind of college. I had not been allowed to enter because something was missing out of my required work. Another person got kicked out of the program because they found out she had lied or misrepresented something which meant they had an opening. I was going to try to finish my work and see if I could get into the program, even though it had already started by a few weeks. There was also something to do about shopping and I was at a store. There was a guy there that was very jovial and played around and he seemed to be a big supporter of me. The dream is incredibly chopped up, long and hard to put into words...

Thank you for sharing your dream. It sounds like a vivid and layered experience with several distinct scenes, each rich in symbolism and emotional undertones. The “Safe Hole” where you were carefully placing items—especially Easter and Spring Equinox symbols—suggests a desire to preserve or protect something meaningful to you, perhaps aspects of renewal, hope, or transition. The well, often associated with depth and hidden resources, could symbolize a safe space within yourself or your environment where you store important feelings, memories, or potential yet to be fully realized. Your concern about not hitting someone below, even though it seemed spatially unlikely, reflects a thoughtful awareness of others and a careful navigation of your own impact or consequences. The transition to the college setting marks a phase of evaluation and growth, with themes of readiness, qualification, and timing. Being initially barred due to incomplete work hints at feelings related to preparedness or self-assessment. The other person’s removal due to dishonesty might symbolize a clearing of obstacles or a reshuffling of opportunities, highlighting fairness, integrity, or the consequences of actions. Your motivation to finish the required work and join the program despite a late start mirrors resilience and commitment to personal goals, suggesting an inner drive to overcome setbacks. The shopping scene with the jovial supporter introduces a lighter, more social and encouraging energy. This figure could embody encouragement, support, or a positive influence in your waking life, possibly representing an aspect of yourself or someone around you who uplifts and motivates you. The dream’s fragmented and shifting nature might reflect the complexity of navigating different emotional or developmental themes simultaneously—preservation, growth, challenge, and support—each contributing to an ongoing personal journey. Overall, the dream seems to weave together themes of safeguarding what you value, confronting challenges related to progress and self-worth, and finding encouragement amid uncertainty. It may be inviting reflection on how you balance patience, self-care, and perseverance as you move through transitions or new phases in life.
