Spain

I was in Mexico or maybe Spain. I was traveling with my father maybe. There was a tour guide with us. We were looking through some antiquities and there was a rock. It many colors and also a clear side. Our tour guide said it was the softest rock in the world. I pushed on the clear side and could leave an indentation. The guide said the clear stuff was actually made by a spider. Later I was in a hotel where I was serving free mamosas in champagne glasses to anyone walking down the hall. There were several folks that took them and I poured more. There was an old and loud woman down the hall that was opulent and obnoxious. She was in bed and said she didn’t feel well. People waited on her and I offered her a mamosa but she wanted a scotch. I went to make it for her. Where I was operating from turned into my hotel room but it was extremely small, only had a bed, and was open to this hall where everyone was talking and being loud. My head was at the end where the hall was so I switched and laid down the opposite way but it was still hard sleep. Then an evil looking doctor came in with the guide and a guy with a knife and held me down. I screamed for help and then I screamed “policia” because we were in Spain. I got the knife away from them and threatened to stab them then ran off. I was extremely frazzled and went up to a coffee stand. It was very fancy in the middle of this terracotta building but no one was around accept the older female barista and it was dark. She didn’t speak English and all I seemed to be able to say was “oliva” and she pour olive oil in my hand which was not what I wanted.

Thank you for sharing your dream. It contains a rich tapestry of symbols and emotional themes that can offer insight into your inner world. Traveling through locations like Mexico or Spain often symbolizes a journey of exploration—perhaps a desire to connect with heritage, new experiences, or unfamiliar territories within yourself. Being accompanied by your father and a tour guide may reflect feelings of guidance, protection, or learning from authority figures or parts of yourself that provide wisdom on this journey. The multi-colored rock with a clear side, described as soft and created by a spider, carries intriguing symbolism. Rocks often represent stability and permanence, but something soft and indented suggests vulnerability or the ability to be shaped. The spider’s role might bring in themes of creativity, patience, and weaving one’s destiny. This delicate yet strong element could hint at your own emotional resilience or creative potential that is both fragile and enduring. Serving mimosas in champagne glasses to passersby suggests generosity and hospitality, perhaps a willingness to share joy or nourishment with others. The convivial interaction contrasts with the presence of the opulent and loud woman, whose discomfort and demands might symbolize disruptive or overwhelming influences within your environment or psyche. Offering her a mimosa versus her preference for scotch could reflect attempts to soothe or bring comfort that don’t fully meet deeper needs. The transformation of the hotel setting to a small, sparse space open to noisy hallways might point to feelings of vulnerability, lack of privacy, or difficulty finding peace amidst external chaos. Adjusting your position to find rest but still having trouble sleeping could symbolize an internal struggle to find comfort or calm in current circumstances. The intrusion by the threatening figures—the doctor, the guide, and the man with the knife—introduces a sense of danger, violation, or conflict. Your response, calling for help and ultimately defending yourself, demonstrates inner strength and assertiveness in facing challenges or fears. The reference to police and place grounds the struggle in the context of the dream’s setting, perhaps indicating a need for protection or justice. Finally, the coffee stand in a quiet, dark space with a non-English speaking barista offering olive oil when you request “oliva” suggests feelings of miscommunication or unmet expectations. Olive oil, a symbol often associated with healing, nourishment, and peace, appearing unexpectedly might hint at alternative forms of support or healing that aren’t immediately obvious or aligned with your conscious desires. Overall, this dream explores themes of exploration, vulnerability, generosity, disruptions, assertiveness, and the pursuit of comfort and healing in uncertain or challenging environments. It reflects a dynamic interplay between seeking connection, encountering obstacles, and finding personal strength along the way.
