White shirt and horse back

1/23/2026|By Phrenaubulax

We were getting ready to perform backstage. It was dark. The batterie had horses and we were going to play on horseback. This felt like the usual thing and I was proud and confident. My horse was an Appaloosa. I never saw its face or head. Then I was homeless and by the ocean. There were a few other homeless people there. An older woman with camera equipment and a young girl. The young girl was in black leather and had short platinum hair. She took a drink of a protein shake and spit it up in the air and it got all over me. I got angry but kept my cool and told her I appreciated she had mental problems but had to leave. I ate part of a massive sub sandwich and threw it away but then retrieved it and wrapped it back up and saved it for later. I was then working at a restaurant as a bus boy. It was very busy in back. Many of us were just starting and it was our first shift. I thought I had a white shirt in a shopping cart in the back alley but everything had patterns and was wrinkled. I was a little panicked. Alex was there and said she had a shirt for me.

Thank you for sharing your dream. It contains rich symbolic imagery and emotional themes that can offer insight into your inner experience. The scene backstage, preparing to perform while riding horses, suggests a blend of control and freedom. Horses often symbolize strength, vitality, and a powerful drive, while performing implies a readiness to express yourself or take on a public role. Riding an Appaloosa—a distinct and patterned horse—could represent embracing uniqueness and individual identity, though not seeing its face or head might point to something about this aspect of yourself that feels unclear or not fully known yet. Your pride and confidence here convey a sense of competence and readiness. The shift to homelessness by the ocean introduces a stark contrast: vulnerability, displacement, and perhaps a feeling of being adrift emotionally or socially. The ocean is a common symbol for the vast unconscious or emotional depths, hinting at a period of reflection or emotional turbulence. The presence of others—the older woman with camera equipment and the young girl—adds texture; the camera could symbolize observation or memory, while the girl’s rebellious appearance and unsettling behavior evoke challenging personal dynamics or unexpected emotional responses. Your reaction shows resilience and an attempt to maintain calm despite frustration. Eating part of a massive sub sandwich, discarding it, then retrieving and saving it, might reflect ambivalence about nourishment or resources in your life—whether material, emotional, or creative. It suggests a tension between letting go and holding on to what feels valuable or necessary. Finally, the busy restaurant setting and search for a white shirt—with Alex offering a shirt—bring themes of readiness, appearance, and support. The white shirt is often a symbol of purity, new beginnings, or a “clean slate,” and your anxiety about not finding it amid wrinkles and patterns could mirror feelings of imperfection or unpreparedness amid complexity. Alex’s presence and offer of help shows connection and the possibility of assistance or reassurance in navigating these challenges. Overall, your dream reflects a journey through confidence, vulnerability, ambiguity, and support—highlighting your ability to adapt, manage complex emotions, and seek or receive help as you move forward. It beautifully captures a balance between embracing your strengths and facing uncertainties in life’s transitions.
