Surreal dream scene, cinematic and atmospheric, digital art: A caring person gently helps a dazed woman sitting on a stairwell outside a busy urban apartment building crowded with people, while a small calico kitten sits calmly in their arms.

Dazed Mom

...I was at Mom's house and she was complaining that her stove top didn't work. None of the eyes would come on. She went to go pick up someone at the bus stop and I worked on the eyes. I didn't do much. I adjusted them and turned them on and they all worked fine. She had a range on the table and all those worked, too. She had a miniature calico kitten and it was sitting on some paperwork. I scooped her up because I accidentally burned the paperwork a little bit. I walked with the kitten outside and the place was full of people. Apparently, we lived in an urban area and there were tons of people getting off of a bus. It appears she was meeting someone getting out of jail. It appeared to be Mattie, Jean's widow who was a habitual jailbird. (In RL, she's probably never been to jail.) Here, she would go to jail all the time and Mom would pick her up often. Everybody walking around had just gotten out of jail. We were walking to the house and Mattie was ahead of us and, instead of going to the house, she just kept going to be with her jailbird friends. Me, mom and the kitten went into our house, which was an apartment complex of some kind, because there were absolutely people everywhere. I walked with Mom and was her bodyguard because I would stop people from allowing her to go. It might have been rude on my part but some of these people were just walking over people. There was a door that led to her apartment and it was hard to keep open because there were people around and there was a stairwell right at the door. Instead of going into the apartment, she sat on the stairwell and started reading some stuff on the wall. I called her name to get her attention. Someone tried to come by and I shut the door on them and I said, "Mom, get up." She's staring dazed like she was lost in thought and I was pretty concerned. Someone tried to open the door and I slammed it back shut because she was going to her apartment and it was her turn. I opened the door and admitted one person apologizing, then shook mom and told her to go to her apartment...
