Going to parliament

It was like 3am and my mum woke me up and told me we we needed to go to the airport. I had no idea why, but we ended up getting in the car and on a plane to Canberra. Once we arrived, we somehow got into parliament house and were sitting in the house of representatives. Apparently the referendum had ended and it was a yes vote because I saw the voice to parliament people sitting round one side of the big table. Then they started a sitting and a bunch of different MPs came in and started talking. I remember it was really interesting because I got to listen to Penny Wong speak even though she's a senator, so she would be in the senate. Then we flew back home to Adelaide and it was 8:30am and my mum was making us go to school.
