No costume

There’s a girl in an old fashion school. It’s a school that might be an apartment building and an office building now so it must be the 1950s or somewhere around there. I’m not sure if I’m the girl around age 12 or I’m looking at the girl, she’s lined up with the other students in the class We’re supposed to be in costume maybe for a play the teacher asks her why she isn’t in costume she doesn’t know but she gets sent home. She’s in a car with a man with a man who talks to her about having to be on a farm for two years I think because of his behavior he had to go to sort of a farm school for kids he said it changed his life. There is also some thing about a pool a pool on a farm. I think the dream takes place in California. I feel the girl feels that she either didn’t do anything wrong or doesn’t know why she did the wrong thing not wearing her costume, but so far the punishment of being taken out of the class and riding in the car with the man who is telling her his story doesn’t seem so bad
