The One With the Frith Kids

Caleb and Mel have just bought a new house in Atlantis, and Brody and I are there for dinner. I’m surprised to see how big and modern it looks considering that Caleb (apparently) told us it didn’t cost that much. They start giving us the tour and I’m even more surprised to find that it’s a four-bedroom house. Caleb let’s us peer into one of the bedrooms and points out that it also has a green bathroom attached to it. I say, “That’s a good sized bathroom, too!” They walk us to the master bedroom and I step aside so that Mel can walk in first. I notice immediately that the room is huge, relatively empty even with furniture inside. I then note that Mel doesn’t look pregnant anymore from the back. She leads me all the way to the far end of the bedroom when I turn around and see a tiny baby wrapped up on a white piece of furniture (it looks like a short TV stand of some kind). I fall on the floor and start laugh-screaming. I look up at everyone else and see that Brody looks confused, but Caleb and Mel are cracking up. I say, “Literally two seconds ago I thought, ‘She doesn’t look pregnant anymore!’” The baby, Charlie, starts crying, so they unwrap her a little and I see that she’s very white looking. I think about how she might be crying because she’s not swaddled well enough, but I don’t want to tell them what to do because they’re parents and I’m not. I get my phone out and say, “Time to change my 1SE!” I think about the one I took (in real life) today was just a boring shot of my office. We all end up going downstairs with Caleb carrying a boy toddler who they apparently adopted. I think about how Charlie and the boy are siblings by blood, but then remember that Mel actually gave birth to Charlie. Brody, Caleb and I hang out in the kitchen as I continue looking around and commending him on what an incredible house he has. I say, “Not to be weird, but how much did you pay for this house? I only ask because I remember you telling us it wasn’t super expensive!” Caleb makes some kind of joke and he and Brody talk about how they wouldn’t normally talk about the price of things. I look down a staircase that I assume goes to a basement but leads to a garage. I say, “You have the garage doors that go like this!” and do a weird motion with my hand.
